Gentry Live at Stone & Key Cellars | Mind Reading & Mentalism | Ambler PA
Gentry — The Intellectual’s Illusionist — brings a rare kind of performance to Stone & Key Cellars: part illusion, part live demonstration of how the mind actually works. Expect real mentalism with a side order of illusion, built around ideas rather than spectacle — the kind of evening designed to blow your mind without insulting your intelligence. The evening opens with live jazz from the Gentry Trio (Gentry on bass) and about an hour of wine and conversation — the perfect evening out before the show even begins. After a short intermission, Gentry takes the room for a performance exploring decision-making, influence, and cognition in real time — surprising and funny, but never low-brow. Tickets are $25 and include a wine flight or two non-alcoholic drinks.

Gentry — The Intellectual’s Illusionist — Presents The Skull of Descartes
An Interactive Evening of Mind Reading, Philosophy, Psychology, and Impossible Demonstrations
What if the greatest philosophers in history never solved the mystery of being human?
What if they discovered that the mystery itself was the point?
Gentry — The Intellectual’s Illusionist — comes to Stone & Key Cellars in Ambler, Pennsylvania with The Skull of Descartes: an unforgettable evening blending live mentalism, audience participation, psychology, humor, philosophy, and impossible demonstrations into an experience unlike a traditional magic show.
Inspired by philosopher René Descartes’s search for certainty and the enduring mystery of consciousness, The Skull of Descartes explores questions of free will, intuition, reason, perception, and what it means to exist at all.
Throughout the evening, audience members become part of the experience as impossible moments unfold live in the room. Choices are predicted. Thought patterns emerge. Hidden connections appear where none should exist.
Part theatrical experience. Part psychological experiment. Part philosophical journey.
Designed for curious minds, skeptical thinkers, and intelligent adults looking for something genuinely different.
Whether you are planning a unique date night, an evening with friends, or simply searching for one of the most unusual live entertainment experiences in the Philadelphia area, The Skull of Descartes offers an unforgettable night of mystery, laughter, thought, and astonishment.
